Tips on how to maximize your time at ADtech

  • Have an outcome in mind. Make a list of the top 3 things you need to get out of the conference 

    Before walking into any conference you must have a goal in mind. You must have knowledge of what you expect to get out of a conference so you fully focus on achieving your main goals.

  • Example 1: If your main goal is to get a merchant account then make sure you get some face time with all the merchant exhibitors.

    Example 2: If your goal is to find an ad-server, then make sure you speak to the ad-serving companies first. This way you get a better understanding of what they do and how they differ.

    Example 3: If your main goal is to get more CPA networks to carry your product then guess what, you talk to all the CPA-Network exhibitors.

 

  • Make sure you only commit to connecting with the people or companies you really need; leave all other contacts tentative

    So often I find people saying I will call you next week. What really needs to happen is you only commit to speaking to those people who fall in line with your goals.  Time is one of the most valuable assets we have in business we need to make sure we use it wisely. 
  • Follow up with your new connections Immediately

    It is very important to begin a new relationship with integrity so once you have given your word to contact someone make sure your schedule is not too full. This way you call them back when you said you would. Or have your assistant set up a call for you the coming week.
  • Create your Action steps worksheet
    (Use the NSF Formula. NSF stands for:)                

    Now (things you can implement right now)
    Soon (things you can implement within 30-90 days)
    Future (great ideas but are over 90 days from implementation) 

    In the order of what you can implement the quickest. Even though you may have a grand goal in mind never forget that conferences are the perfect place to get new ideas to improve and better your business. So keep a log of the ideas you get and keep them in order of NSF. This way you can make sure you execute on all the ideas.

  • Network Effectively

    Look for the Gems! Make sure you get an opportunity to network with other attendees and exhibitors; they might have some insight into the business that might trigger one of your most valuable ideas.
  • Have an Introduction

    It is very important when you meet people that they know who you are and what you do. Make sure you have an introduction of yourself ready before you attend a conference. First Impressions are everything make sure you are ready to give the 2 minute speech of yourself.
        
  • Be ready with questions

    Once you have approached the company or service you have been looking to connect with, be sure you make good use of the face time and have your questions for them ready. This way if you ask something that needs a visual explanation you get the demo right then and there. Not only that but it also sets the stage for people to see that you mean business and people will respect a person who knows what they want more than a person who knows nothing.

I have really been thinking about what I want to give to you.

 I have made up my mind but before I tell you I need you to know why I chose this.

So afraid that you are speechless, to the point that just for a second you feel numb?

See when Carlos said “I want to sell this product online and I want to become a real company”.

I do not recall anything else he said after that because all I could think of was, I have never been the sole income provider. I was scared I began to tell myself what if I fail then where will I get money from. What will we eat most importantly where will my baby get her food from.

I have to make sure to pay bills, put food on the table and pay the mortgage I was scared it kind of felt like the clock stop ticking and I was in shock.

When Carlos finally stopped speaking and asked “What do you think?” I said certainly I can do it. I was not sure as a matter of fact I was already thinking of looking for a night shift.

Looking back all I can recall are the many mistakes and the many questions I had. Now I see how  we just went into the business blind sided.

We had no one that we can really stop and ask “Excuse me how do you make money online?”

This is when it came to me. I know that the gift I chose to give you will have either a big or small impact on your life.

I read some of the replies with the ideas that were sent in things like a new diamond, Money etc…

So I thought to myself… Yes, I can easily give you money or any small meaningless item. But the real value would be if I could somehow download my knowledge into your brain.

See I would have given anything to have someone guide me every step of the way. To tell me things like “Before you sign this IO you must know the following terms, or Before you spend $1000.00 in an e-mail drop make sure you test your subject lines to get a good open rate.

My body starts to shake and my heart begins to pound as I think of all the mistakes we learned the hard way and all the downfalls we had to endure. To get to where we are today.

If you understand the meaning of “Knowledge is power” then you can appreciate the gift that I have chosen to give you from the bottom of my heart.

I feel crushed I have been away this summer
homeschooling my 3 kids and watching over my

Key Components of a Killer Landing Page

Most people make a big mistake when it comes to creating a
landing page.  But before I talk about that, I just want to clarify
that whenever we refer to a landing page, we’re talking about
the page that shows up when they click on whatever link you
use to drive traffic to your online sales funnel.

The mistake most business people make with their landing
page is that they forget what the purpose of this page is.
Keep in mind, I’m referring to a online direct sales process.
And the sole purpose of your sales process  is to make and
keep customers.  Your first goal is to make an immediate sale.

And if you can’t do that, then you want to make sure you’ve
gathered their e-mail address so you can follow-up with them
and make a sale in the future.

Saying that, the purpose of your landing page must be focused:

    1. Leading them to an immediate sale
    2. Gathering their contact information in case they
      abandon the sales process.

In all our tens of thousands of split tests, we’ve consistently
found that going for the sale on the landing page converts less
than going for the sale on the second or third page.

People come up to us all the time and ask us how we’re able to ramp up traffic from zero visitors to millions of visitors in a matter of just months. Well it’s important to realize that we didn’t start out with this knowledge. It took years of trial and error and making painful and expensive mistakes. Like most marketers online, we started out focusing on search engine optimization. I remember staying up night after night just optimizing and optimizing. The result? We dominated most of the first 3 pages of Google for our main keywords.
